Welcome!  We study the processes that regulate the distribution and population dynamics of animals.  Most of the species we work on migrate or engage in long-distance movements at some point in their life. Recent and ongoing projects include diagnosing the causes of shorebird declines on the East-Asian Australasian flyway, locating winter areas of migratory dragonflies, and estimating migratory connectivity of North American songbirds.  Our aim is to root our research in theory and branch toward applied outcomes.
